Mr. Ellis “Gene” Johnson of Nashville, Tennessee passed away on Saturday, August 20, 2022, he was 66 years old.
Gene was born Friday, November 4, 1955 in Nashville, Tennessee.
Gene is survived by his children, Dana Johnson and husband Jose Semidei, Daniel Johnson and wife Allyson, Stefen Johnson and wife Mary, Craig Welch, Bridgette Welch, Erica Heard; sister, Deborah Taylor; brothers, Tommy Johnson, Milton Johnson; grandchildren, Seth Martinez, Auston Martinez, Hannah Johnson, Gracie Johnson.
Gene graduated from Hume-Fogg and received his Associate Degree from Vol. State. He worked as a Respiratory Therapist for 24 years and 15 years with Ed Medical, Inc. He was an avid Titan fan and enjoyed classic rock. Gene enjoyed drives through the back country roads of Tennessee and eating lunch with friends and family. He also enjoyed quiet visits to local parks and taking in the scenery.
A visitation for Gene will be Wednesday, August 24, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Eastland Funeral Home, 904 Gallatin Avenue, Nashville, TN 37206.
A celebration of life will occur Thursday, August 25, 2022 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Eastland Funeral Home with Pastor Joel Emerson officiating. Burial will follow in Springhill Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Daniel Johnson, Stefen Johnson, Jose Semidei, Craig Welch, Tommy Johnson, Robert Diggs, Auston Martinez, and Steven Diggs.
