Edith I. Blankenship, age 94, of Old Hickory, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, April 29, 2025.
Edith was born on Sunday, January 25, 1931 in Orlinda, Tennessee.
She was preceded in death by her mother Clydell Howard, husband Delbert Blankenship, daughter Deborah Varden, and son-in-law Ronnie Snyder Sr.
A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, she enjoyed square dancing, cooking and family gatherings;
Edith was a member of Donelson View Baptist Church.
Edith is survived by her daughters, Judy Vaughn of Franklin, KY, Patricia Snyder of Old Hickory, TN and Sheila Davis also of Old Hickory, TN. Grandchildren: Ron Snyder Jr., Buffy (Mike) Elsbury, Dana (Ryan) Pendley, Scott (Danielle) Davis, Dereke (Shannon) Wright, Jeromy (Brandi) Wright, Tiffany (Justin) Tomlins, and Chris (Janie) Vaughn and she has several great and great-great grandchildren.

Family and friends will gather to remember Edith at a visitation on Monday, May 5, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, May 6, 2025 from 9:00 AM until the service 10:00 AM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home.

Burial will follow in the Garden of Devotion in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Serving as active pallbearers will be Mike Elsbury, Scott Davis, Ryan Pendley, Dereke Wright, Jeromy Wright, Chris Vaughn. Honorary will be Ron Snyder, Jr., Hayden Davis, Terry Varden and Justin Tomlins.
