Dorothy Francis “Dotty” Johnson, age 79, passed away on Thursday, May 8, 2025. She was born on May 25, 1945 in Nashville, TN to the late Robert and Virginia Worrell.
Dotty is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, James Worrell.
She is survived by her youngest brother, David Worrell, her husband of 63 years, George Johnson and their daughters, Sheli Posnack and Cyndi White as well as her grandchildren, Mia and Gavin Posnack, her niece, Tina Worrell and nephew, Scott Worrell and their children and grandchildren. She loved each one of them dearly.
A graduate of Antioch High School, Dotty loved keeping in touch with her close friends and classmates and frequently went to the alumni lunches. She lived around the Nashville area her entire life.
Being a true hostess, she loved getting everyone together for gatherings during the year and especially loved planning events during the holidays. Nothing meant more to her than family and she loved having them surrounding her.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 6th at 1pm at Woodlawn Roesch Patton Funeral Home with visitation beforehand from 11-1. https://www.dignitymemorial.com/obituaries/nashville-tn
