Dorothea (Dottie) Psalidas passed away on February 26, 2025. She was born on November 25, 1928 in Bronx, New York to John Psalidas and Elizabeth Theodore Psalidas.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Arthur Psalidas Sr. and Chris Psalidas.
She is survived by her nephew Art Psalidas and niece Loren Psalidas.
Dottie had been in the music business her entire professional career. She held numerous management positions for major music labels including manager of A&R administration for Mercury and Polygram and retired from RCA. She was also a lyricist/songwriter; many of her songs were published and several were recorded by artists of her time.
She enjoyed writing and painting, and she was a charter member and volunteer of the Frist Art Museum in Nashville.
Her charismatic personality along with her kindness and generosity made her a joy to be around. She always wanted the best for people.
