Doris Denise “Tootie” Bryant Smith of Hermitage, Tennessee passed away on Friday, February 23, 2024, at the age of 70.

She was born on January 13, 1954, to Clifford and Bonnie Bryant in Wyandotte, Michigan.

She was a Navy brat and attended various schools across the county, but graduated from Antioch High School in Nashville, Tennessee in 1972.

Throughout her life, she worked at the children’s ward of a hospital with her grandmother, Letha Mathis Bryant, then she worked at the bank for many years, but ultimately settled at Cumberland Utility District with her father, Clifford Bryant; and her brother, Forrest Bryant. On a personal level, she never met a stranger, and she was truly loved by all! She was always the life of the party and always made everyone around her feel so special! Her favorite thing to do (other than go to Goodwill) was to spend time with her two children, Dara Smith and Erica Saeger, and her two grandsons, CJ and Landon Saeger! She spent numerous hours at sporting events, playing games, and watching movies with them! She loved her children, grandchildren, and extended family so deeply!

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Bonnie Bryant; and her brother, Forrest Bryant.

She leaves behind her children, Dara Smith and Erica (Currey) Saeger; her two grandsons, CJ and Landon Saeger; and her siblings, Kathy (Richard) Atwood and Ernie (Julie) Bryant as well as a host of nieces and nephews that she loved very dearly!
