David L. Turner, Sr., age 81, of Nashville, Tennessee passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2023.
David was a retired Tennessee State Trooper of 35 years, devoted Father and Grandfather. He served in the Army National Guard. He was a giving person to his family, friends and community.
He loved farming and hunting. He enjoyed family vacations and deep-sea fishing in Panama City Beach, FL. He always enjoyed a good laugh and jokes. He loved his Grandkids and making memories. He always rejoiced in his memories of the Tennessee Highway Patrol. His favorite hangout was at Hardee’s with his buddies for breakfast.
Preceded in death by wife, Patricia Turner; parents, Will and Ella Turner; and brothers, Wilson, Johnie, Aubrey, Morris, Kenneth, and Donald Turner.
Survived by daughters, Ashley (Eric) Roberts and Kristi Turner; son, David (Alison) Turner, III; grandchildren, Alissa, Gracie, Ethan, Jaxon, Claudia and Claire; sisters, Nina Ruth Puckett and Sue McGuire; and brother, Sam Turner.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, June 8, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Woodbine Funeral Home, Hickory Chapel, 5852 Nolensville Road. Interment Nolensville Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as Pallbearers. Masonic memorial services will be Wednesday, June 7, 2023, at 7:00 p.m. conducted by Claiborne Lodge #293 F&AM.
