David Earl Adcock, Sr., age 78, of Antioch, TN, passed away peacefully on March 15, 2025, to be with the Lord. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend whose kindness and generosity touched the lives of many. David cherished his family above all else and lived a life full of love and laughter. He had a passion for football, hunting, and fishing, as well as spending time outdoors with friends and loved ones. A talented craftsman, he found great joy in rebuilding old trucks and tractors. David proudly served in the military for over three years, demonstrating his unwavering commitment to his country. He leaves behind his beloved wife and best friend of 57 years, Carolyn Adcock, whom he adored. His warm smile, gentle spirit, and unwavering faith will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Annie Adcock; his siblings, Nancy Morris, Betty Jean Adcock, Ernest “Bub” Adcock, Lillie Gay, Joseph “Buster” Adcock, and Dorothy Dean Nichols; and his sons, David Earl Adcock II and Daniel “Danny” Hall Adcock.
He is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn Adcock; his grandchildren, David Earl Adcock III and Dannie Lee Adcock; his great grandchild, Nova McInturff; his daughter-in-law, Tammy Lee Adcock; his sisters, Mary Sue Gay and Marsha Ann Adcock; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 21, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Woodbine Funeral Home, Hickory Chapel, 5852 Nolensville Road. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM, officiated by Joey Spann. Entombment will take place at Woodlawn Memorial Park, across from the Mausoleum.
