Cynthia Faye Tant “Cindy” Pierce, 75, of Nashville, went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 30, 2021.
She was born on August 28, 1946 to the late Kenneth “Jack” and Evelyn Jo Campbell Tant in Nashville. She was of the Methodist faith and attended Glencliff High School. She enjoyed watching TV, spending time on her computer, and going to church. She also collected angels.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Shelly Sue Pierce; sister-in-law, Manone (Gene) Golden; and mother-in-law, Olive Carter.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving husband of 55 years, Anthony “Tony” Pierce; sister-in-law, Lucricia (Aubrey “Bud”) Cole; niece, Nysha (Phillip) Quirk; godmother of Shelly and best friend, Sue Parrish.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 2, 2021 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Woodlawn Funeral Home located at 660 Thompson Lane in Nashville. Additional visitation will be held on Friday, September 3, 2021 from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM at Woodlawn. A Celebration of Life Graveside Service will follow visitation on Friday.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Nashville Humane Association in Cynthia Pierce’s honor.
