Chris Cotton, age 57 of Nashville, TN. passed away on August 10, 2021.

Preceded in death by daughter, Branigan Cotton; and parents, Spencer and Tammy Cotton. Survived by wife, Ginger Cotton; daughter, Brittny (James) Webb; son, Triston Black; grandchildren, James Webb, II, Jackson Webb, and Olivia Black.

Chris married Ginger on June 30, 1995 and was a loving and devoted husband for 30 years. He was very proud of his children, stating that “my children are my moon and my grandchildren are my stars”. He graduated from Summertown High in 1982. He studied at Metro Nashville Police Academy, Class of 1985. He was a 34-year employee of Southern Hills Medical Center where he served as head of Security. Devoted member of Claiborne lodge #293 for 30 years wearing many hats and a 28-year member of Al Menah Shrine. He loved fishing, boating, and spending time with family and friends. Chris had an immense love for his country and was passionate in his support for Donald Trump.

Chris was always there for his friends or anyone he crossed paths with that was sure to become a lifelong friend. He was the ultimate social butterfly. Chris will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.

Services will be conducted Monday, August 16, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. at Woodbine Funeral Home, 3620 Nolensville Road by Dr. Bobby Howard. Memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children. Masonic memorial services will be conducted Monday at 5:00 p.m. by Claiborne Lodge #293 F&AM Visitation will be Monday from 3-5 p.m. at Woodbine Funeral Home, 615-832-1948.
