Mrs. Cheryl Beckstead, a homemaker of the Brush Creek Community, received the reward of her heavenly life with Jesus at 5:18 a.m. Monday morning April 20, 2026 with all her family present with her. She was pronounced deceased at the age of 65 at 5:18 a.m. by Heather Lowe with Gentiva Hospice of Livingston at the family’s Alexanderia Highway home.
Mrs. Beckstead is at the Carthage Chapel of Sanderson Funeral Home. Her pastor Bro. Brian Armstrong will officiate the graveside services to be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday morning April 21st at the Ridgewood Cemetery. Burial will be near her mother in section five at Ridgewood.
The family and friends will assemble at the cemetery for the services and the family will receive friends following the service. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
Mrs. Beckstead was the only daughter and the second of six children born to the late Richard “Dick” Workman who died at the age of 74 on October 18, 2010 and Betty Louise Jines Workman who died at the age of 77 on October 26. 2012.
Two brothers preceded her in death, Dicky Stone and Michael Stone.
Mrs. Beckstead was a faithful member of the Wind of Pentecost Apostolic Church.
She was a member of her General Education Degree.
Surviving are her four daughters, Cristy Henson and husband Anthony of the Brush Creek Community, Esther Daniels of Baxter, Lily Jones and husband Tony of Cookeville, Amy Ash and husband Keith of the Kempville Community; two sons, Fred Daniels and wife April of the Kempville Community, Jacob Woodard of the Chestnut Mound Community; by the father of her children, Larry Daniels of the Brush Creek Community; three brothers, Pat Workman and wife Vickie of Effingham, Illinois, Joe Workman and wife Patty, Bruce Workman and wife Cindy all of Mount Vernon, Illinois; twelve grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
