Carson Eugene Abernathy of Nashville, Tennessee passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 7, 2022, at the age of 90.
He was a deacon and member of Antioch First Baptist Church, served in the United States Army, and employee of Ford Motor Company for more than 38 years.
Preceded in death by parents, Hop and Louise Abernathy; sister, Grace Holt.
Survived by wife of 52 years, Katie Abernathy; daughter, Karen (Jimbo) Allen; granddaughters, Kim (Jeff) Warbritton and Kristi (Chris) Kain; great-grandchildren, Emma, Rylee and Carter Warbritton, Ansley and Hudson Kain; sister, Susie Phillips.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, July 11, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at Woodbine Funeral Home, Hickory Chapel, 5852 Nolensville Road by Brother Jud Hays.
Active Pallbearers: Joe Morgan, Danny Morgan, Bo Morgan, Steve Harding, Josh Miller, Mike Leming, Denny King and Stephon Maccio.
Honorary Pallbearers: Dale Morgan and Butch Harding.
