Carol Harper Boeing

Carol Harper Boeing, age 76, daughter of the Most High, went to be with Jesus on Wednesday, February 9, 2022.

Carol was born on June 23, 1945 to the late Andrew Jackson Harper and Wilma Rene Moore Harper in Huntsville, Alabama.

The family settled in Flintstone, Georgia where she spent all of her childhood years. The entire family were all members of the Chattanooga Valley Church of Christ where Carol’s faith walk began.

After graduating from high school in 1963, she moved to Nashville to attend David Lipscomb College where she majored in music education/piano and sang with the Acappella and Glee Singers. During her college years, she earned many honors and was elected Homecoming Queen in 1967.

In March of 1969, Carol married the love of her life, Phillip Edward Boeing. In December of 1970, their first child Christopher Andrew was born followed by Dawn Tara in 1973.

Carol’s love for music and piano led her to open her private studio, Carol Boeing Piano Studio, in 1975. She was an active member and leader in local and state professional music teaching associations. In over four decades she taught hundreds of students, including all of her granddaughters, classical piano. Carol was highly respected among her peers and in 2006 was selected as TMTA Teacher of the Year.

Over the years, Carol sang with many local choirs including The Nashville Symphony Choir. One of her greatest joys was teaching Sunday school and directing The Children’s Choir at Belmont Church where she and Phil have been members for over 40 years. Carol had a deep and passionate love for the old traditional hymns and her very name called forth this passion throughout her life. She loved the Lord with all her heart, soul, mind, and strength as well as her family and all who were around her. Carol’s faith and trust in God and her love for His word formed the essence of her being. In all her ways she was a worshiper of the true and living God.

She is survived by her husband, Phillip Boeing; her brother, Jerry Harper (Donna); her son, Chris (Angie); her daughter, Dawn (Craig); and granddaughters, Grace, Amanda, Anna-Caroline, and Emily; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Carol’s Celebration of Life will be on February 26, 2022, at Belmont Church, 68 Music Square East, Nashville, TN 37203 with visitation from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and the service at 4:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the PKD Foundation in memory of Carol Harper Boeing at pkdcure.org.
