Ms. Brenda Joyce Claybrooks Beard was born November 22, 1945, in Nashville, Tennessee to parents, Robert Lee Claybrooks and Pauline McQuiddy Venable. Brenda answered her call to go from labor to rest on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at Metro General Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee.
Brenda accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior and was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church for many years. She was educated in the Metro Davidson County Public Schools.
Brenda had a love for nurturing; this would shape her career of becoming a C.N. A. at Middle Tn. Mental Health Institute.
Brenda enjoyed shopping, she also enjoyed spending time with her family. She was short in stature but was a giant in everything that she did.
Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Claybrooks and Pauline Venable, siblings, Zeta Venable, Harvell Venable and Albert Claybrooks.
She leaves to cherish her sweet memories her children, Richard Spencer, Jr., Michael Spencer, Tony Spencer, Pamela Spencer, Timothy Spencer and Andre Spencer, siblings, Ronnie Claybrooks, Patricia Claybrooks and Sandra Claybrooks, a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews as well as many friends.
