Bobby “Bob” Wedgworth, born July 10, 1951, in Alamo, Tennessee, passed away after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was the son of the late Ray (Pat) Wedgworth and Anna (Willis) Foust.

Bob proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Army and the Tennessee Army National Guard. His time in service reflected his deep love for his country and his strong sense of duty.

He spent over 25 years working at Tom Leitch Auto Center, formerly Townsend Chevrolet.

Bob was an avid fan of the Tennessee Volunteers and the UT Martin Skyhawks football team. He loved sports, but even more, he loved his family, God and his country.

He is survived by his loving wife, Kathy Wedgworth; three sons, Bobby (Melissa) Wedgworth of Hendersonville, Tennessee, Billy (Jan) Wedgworth of Lexington, Kentucky, and Eric Wedgworth of Parsons, Tennessee; and three cherished granddaughters, Emma Wedgworth, Anna Wedgworth, and Juliana Wedgworth.

He is also survived by three siblings, Billy (Sandra) Wedgworth of Jackson, Tennessee, Kim Wedgworth of Winchester, Kentucky, and Glorian Reasons of Franklin, Tennessee; two brothers-in-law, Michael (Sandie) Markin and Roger (Buddy Takat) Markin; sister in law, Debbie Markin; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Sally Wedgworth, and his mother-in-law, Emma Markin.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Hospice for their care, compassion, and support during this difficult time.

A gathering of family and friends will be Saturday June 20, 2026 from 11:30am-1pm at Oakdale Funeral home in Parsons, TN followed by a celebration of life service at 1pm. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to West Tennessee Healthcare/Hospice or any local Veteran programs.
