Bobby E. Stinson was born on September 2, 1936 and passed away on Sunday, February 5, 2023, he was 86 years old.

Bobby was a native of Nashville, TN, and was the only son of the late Harold and Ethel Stinson.

He graduated from Central High School and Middle Tennessee State College. Bobby was employed by the State of Tennessee for 37 years and retired in 1998 having served over the Department of Revenue during his tenure.

Bobby is survived by 2 children, Kevin Stinson of Nashville, and Maria Holland (Kell) also of Nashville. He has 3 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren: Whitney (Brady), Liam and Jackson Ellis, Brandon (Hannah), Stella Holland and Drew, and (Anna) Holland. Many will miss him including his extended family friends, Jerry Buchanan, George, Lavenia Carpenter, and Jeff Buchanan.

Even though Bobby grew up as an only child he was surrounded by a big family consisting of cousins and uncles similar in age. His grandparents were from the Leipers Fork area, and he spent his summers at his grandparent’s farm.

Bobby enjoyed art, antique, and music collections. He enjoyed good food, and he loved to laugh. He was most proud of his children and grandchildren. He was generous and kind-hearted. He will be missed by many.

Visitation will be Saturday from 10 a.m. -12 noon at Woodbine Funeral Home, Hickory Chapel, 5852 Nolensville Road. A private graveside service for family and very close friends will follow at 1 at Woodlawn. https://www.woodbinefuneralhome.com
