Beverly Ellis Pettigrew, of Nashville, TN. She passed away at Hendersonville Medical Center in Hendersonville, TN on October 11, 2022, at the age of 93.

She was born on November 20, 1928, in Memphis, TN to Courtney Malcolm Ellis and Bessie Mae Wetzel. Her mother died in childbirth, and she was raised by her father and loving stepmother, Myrtle Quick.

She is survived by her daughters, Janet Sanchez (Bruce) Wilcoxson and Patricia Pettigrew (Steve Tierney) Mundy; and grandson, Adam Pettigrew Mundy.

Beverly graduated from East High School in Nashville, TN in 1946 and was a member of East End United Methodist Church for over 70 years. In 1987, she retired from her longtime position of accounting supervisor at South Central Bell.

She was a contemporary of Queen Elizabeth, and looked so much like her that her friends called her “the Queen.” She was a true genteel southern lady and had a remarkable singing voice. She enjoyed puzzles, Wheel of Fortune, and deeply loved her church, her rose garden, and above all, her family.

Interment will immediately follow the service at Woodlawn Memorial Park. https://www.phillipsrobinson.com
