Betty Stinson, Age 88, passed away on July 6, 2021. The last of four siblings born to Bruce and Lillie Belle Culbertson. She married Phil Stinson and raised four boys.
Mother was always involved in all the after-school activities and never cared how many kids she had with her. She enjoyed the local bowling leagues. She was a school mother and a member of the PTA. She also enjoyed family events. The most important thing to her was family, large gatherings, and having fun at Lake Tansi in the summer. Christmas was always at Grandmother/Aunt Betty’s house.
Betty has gone on to join her husband of 61 years, Phil; and her youngest son, David.
Survived by sons, Phillip (Lesia), Jim (Sherri), and Mark (Delia); granddaughters, Amiee (David), Jami, and Kiley (Tyler); great-grandchildren Shyanne, Kayla, Austin, Dylan, David, Lauren, Lee, and Phillip.
Thank you to Home Instead and the night sitters for making it possible for Betty to stay in her home. A special thanks to Kelly for your love and care.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, July 10, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at Woodbine Funeral Home, Hickory Chapel, 5852 Nolensville Road by Bill Peach and P. R. Anderson. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery. Family and Friends will serve as Pallbearers. Visitation will be Friday from 2 – 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. at Woodbine Funeral Home Hickory Chapel, 615-331-1952.
She will be greatly missed by us all!
