Barbara Ruth Jones, 88, passed away peacefully on April 11, 2026, surrounded by the love of her devoted children, Tommy Baggott and Bonnie Baggott Culp.
Born August 19, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Turney and Esther Golden Binkley. She was preceded in death by her husband, Porter Jones; her brothers, Golden, Paul, and Elmo Binkley; her sister, Charlotte Sue Larkin; and other beloved in-laws.
Barbara was known for her deep love of family and her gift for bringing people together. Her home was always open, her table always full, and everyone who entered felt welcomed and cared for. She gave freely of herself—caring for the sick, helping those in need, and quietly tending to others with compassion and grace.
She is survived by her children, Tommy (Pam) Baggott and Bonnie Baggott Culp and stepsons, Bob Jones, Steve Jones, and Gary Jones. Her grandchildren, Hannah Paige Baggott, Ainsley Ruth Baggott, Emma Ruth (Kai) Filbey, Isabella Grace Culp, Walter Culp, Megan Jones, and Molly Jones; her sister, Paulette Spencer; and many nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly.
Barbara’s life was a reflection of love in action. Her family takes comfort in her faith in Jesus Christ and the legacy of kindness, humility, and selflessness she leaves behind.
In keeping with Barbara’s wishes, there will be no traditional visitation or funeral service. Instead, a celebration of life will be held to gather, share memories, and honor a life well lived. Details will be announced at a later date. https://www.andersonandgarrett.com
