Barbara Gayle Phillips Long – age 77 of Nashville, TN received her wings on October 21, 2025.
She is survived by her son, Christopher Long; grandchildren, Aric Skeen, Ariel Skeen, Ashley Hewgley Long; fiancée, Donald Mercer; siblings, Liz Walls, Wanda Bilbrey, Ron Phillips, Randy Phillips; sister-in-law, Barbara T. Phillips; son-in-law, Mike Skeen.
Predeceased by son, Dale Long; daughter, Tracy Long; grandchildren, Jacob Skeen, Jamie Skeen; parents, Roy and Edna Warf Phillips and sister, Ruby Phillips.
She was a homemaker and a wonderful mother, grandmother, and sister. Barbara graduated from West End High School, Nashville, TN in 1966. She worked in sales for a tile flooring company. She enjoyed camping and spending time with her family.
Barbara’s family would like to thank the staff at Good Samaritan Nursing Home and Aveanna Hospice for their wonderful care since February 2024.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, November 3, 2025, at Western Hills Church, 7565 Charlotte Pike, Nashville, TN 37209 with David Estes officiating.
Visitation with the family will be held on Monday from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. prior to the service at Western Hills Church.
