Ariel Miller Elam, the only child of the late Ariel E. and Louie Mai Hager Elam, passed away peacefully at Trevecca Center on February 3, 2024.
Ariel was born in Nashville on December 19, 1934. With brief stints in Alabama and South Carolina, serving his country honorably, in the U.S. Army, he was a lifelong Tennessean.
Retired from the electrical trade, he was also a part-time farmer, raising cattle on the family farm. His many interests included amateur radio operation, Roadster-to-Bike horse showing, boating, antique automobiles and world travel. His passport would have you thinking he was collecting stamps.
Ariel was accompanied on his travels through life by his wife, Maridean, affectionately known as Skip.
Ariel is survived by Maridean; his children: Doug (Vicky) Elam, Ed (Teresa) Elam, Robert (Tammy) Kotsch, David (Teresa) Kotsch and Linda (Joe) Sheriff. He is additionally survived by twenty grandchildren, thirty-two great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held at Woodbine Funeral Home, Hickory Chapel, 5852 Nolensville Road on February 12, 2024, beginning at 10:00 AM with a graveside service and interment at Mapleview Cemetery at 2:00 PM. https://www.woodbinefuneralhome.com
