Ann Holman Watson – Age 85 of Nashville, TN. June 30, 2023. Survived by daughters, Melissa Watson(Tim) Caldwell and Priscilla Watson (Kevin) Maxwell; grandchildren, Matthew Shane (Ashley) Caldwell, Ashlie (Nick) Maxwell Johnson, Adam Taylor Maxwell and Haylie (Chandler) Maxwell Premo; great-grandchildren, Ally Axford, Zoie and Penelope Johnson, Nora and Liza Caldwell and Elise Premo; sister, Betty Holman Zeigler Adair.
Our Moma is worshiping and celebrating in heaven! Moma was always a student and loved learning and teaching. She graduated from Hillsboro High School, was class president, prom queen, and cheerleader. She graduated from Vanderbilt University George Peabody College for Teachers and was a teacher at Fall School on 8th Avenue. She was the bridal consultant for Castner-Knott and loved traveling to New York for fashion week for many years. Moma was a student and teacher of the Bible—memorized most of the Bible and taught Bible study after learning from Venita Whittemore and Billy Roy and Pixie Moore at The Lord’s Chapel. We grew up listening to Moma teaching “Good News” classes using flannel board to learn about Jesus. Moma will certainly be missed.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, July 6, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. (visitation 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.) at Woodbine Funeral Home, Hickory Chapel, 5852 Nolensville Road by Dr. Bobby Howard. Interment Spring Hill Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as Pallbearers.
