Allen Keith Luffman, 74, of Nashville, Tennessee, went peacefully to be with the Lord on April 26, 2026, after a lengthy illness. He passed away at home surrounded by love.
Born June 20, 1951, in Suffolk, Virginia, Allen was the oldest of three children born to Lee Roy Luffman and Pina Jeanelle Sloan Luffman. As the son of a career Navy veteran, Allen’s childhood took him across the world. He lived in Virginia, Pennsylvania, California, Illinois, Hawaii, Connecticut, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Rota, Spain—experiences that shaped his broad perspective and deep appreciation for people and place.
Allen graduated from Dickson High School in 1969. He proudly served two years in the United States Navy before receiving a medical discharge. He later earned his degree from Austin Peay State University College of Business in 1982.
On November 30, 2002, Allen married Dian Schoen Luffman, beginning a loving partnership that lasted more than two decades. His career was in commercial collections until cancer forced him into disability in 2012. In his free time, Allen enjoyed fishing, watching University of Tennessee football, and spending time with his family—activities that brought him joy and comfort throughout his life. His greatest love was the water, and he and Dian spent much of their free time cruising together.
Allen is survived by his wife, Dian; his children; Andrew (Paula), Christopher (Amanda), and Kim Luffman; his stepson, Nathan Kahre (Felicia); his sister, Donna Luffman Sadler; and his brother, Mark (Shelia). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother-in-law, Jackie Sadler.
