Alison “Ali” Basinger Wiltsie, 63, of Old Hickory, TN, passed away October 1, 2024.She is survived by her supportive and loving husband, George Wiltsie; son, Ben Wiltsie; daughter, Emily Hopper; son in law, Ritchie Strickland; grandson, Devan Hopper and granddaughter Arya Hopper-Strickland; brothers, William (Billy) Basinger Jr. and Chris Basinger; sister, Renee Basinger. Alison was loved by so many and loved so many others. Every family member and friend was cherished in the heart of Alison.
Alison was an amazing Wife, Daughter, Mother, Grandmother, Sister, and Friend. She had so many talents that made her a beautifully unique person. Her love for art like creating crocheted blankets, painting canvas masterpieces, a self-taught seamstress, she enjoyed creating crafts of many wide varieties. She had a love for holidays, sewing costumes, crafting yard and house decorations, gift making and gift giving, Alison loved to see people smile, she was the master mind behind every planned holiday dinner and all holiday activities, she loved to cook and take care of those close to her heart. She enjoyed going to yard sales with her best friend Opal every chance she could.
Alison loved to travel, and journeyed over Europe during the 1980’s this was a cherished experience to her. She had exquisite penmanship, a deep intellect, love for books and knowledge, a typing skill unmatched by most. She held a genuine, caring heart who always wanted to help those in need. She shared her love and blessings with everyone she met. Alison loved nature and animals always taking the opportunity to go on a walk. Even when facing cancer, she held strong, fighting the whole situation with dignity and grace. Always holding a positive outlook, kind characteristics, and smiling through the pain. Recently saved, she loved God and loved Jesus. She will be missed by so many.
