Albert Wayne “Doc” Butler, Age 86, of Nashville, TN, passed away on March 15, 2025.
Preceded in death by his mother, Edith Butler Litton; father, AA Butler; sister, Reba Butler Morris.
He is survived by his children; Melody Goodwin-Stromatt, Mia (Troy) Kemp, Andria Butler and Jordan (Jill) Butler; grandchildren, Brooke (Jonathan) Eakes, Holly Goodwin, Kenzie Stromatt, Brandon (Ashley) Goodwin, Cara (Patrick) Fedun and Lacey (Daniel) Cooper; great-grandchildren, Maverick Eakes, Sutton Eakes, Bria Fedun, Joseph Fedun, Everley Goodwin and Sloane Goodwin; cousin, Zadie Rubena McClanahan.
Albert was a jazz saxophonist and also played trombone, flute, keyboard and piano for over 40 years. Albert was a man of many talents and played multiple instruments. A few of the bands he played with are Charlie McCoy and the Escorts, Danny Davis and the Nashville Brass and Tony Orlando at the Branson Theater. Albert also served in the National Guard Armory and was a part of the American Federation of Musicians.
While we will miss him here on earth, we rejoice knowing that he is now with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Celebration of life will be held at a later date.
