Nowhere Special is the latest concept from MAP Hospitality, a Nashville-based hospitality and entertainment company founded by Tennessee State University graduates Robert Higgins, Joseph Johnson and Cordarius “DJ Crisis” Freeman. The group is known for creating restaurant and lounge concepts that combine food, cocktails, music, and nightlife.
Designed to move easily from after-work cocktails and business dinners to weekend brunch, celebrations, and late-night gatherings, Nowhere Special will be open seven days a week.
The menu was created by Culinary Director Jerod Wilcher and the MAP team. Guests will find shareable starters, including Philly Cheesesteak Rolls, Oysters Rockefeller, Shrimp & Crab Dip, and Buffalo Blast Wontons. Entrees include Deep-Fried Cornish Hen served over fettuccine Alfredo, Fried or Broiled Lobster Tails with mac & cheese and garlic-parmesan broccolini, and Chicken and Sausage Jambalaya. The menu also features handheld options like Braised Oxtail Grilled Cheese, Smash Burger Tacos, and Jerk Shrimp Tacos.
Nowhere Special will also feature a seasonal cocktail menu with drinks such as the Sunset Lychee Spritz, Blood Orange Creamsicle, Lavender Margarita, Hot Summer Slice and Hookah Heat.
Weekend brunch will launch alongside dinner service. Guests can also expect daily happy hour specials, curated music programming and extended late-night hours on Fridays and Saturdays.
Beyond its opening week, Nowhere Special plans to host special events, curated experiences and community-focused programming.
