October 17, 2023 – A 17-year-old student was arrested Tuesday after a loaded handgun was located in the center console of his vehicle in the McGavock High School parking lot.
School administrators received a picture of the 11th grader with a gun and after speaking with the student, he admitted the Ruger 9-millimeter was inside his vehicle.
He is charged with bringing a weapon on school property.
