December 19, 2023 â The investigation is continuing into the child sex abuse case after Metro Police say a man raped a 12-year-old girl at his residence on Ashland City Highway.
James Searcy II, 41, who works as a private investigator, is alleged to have sexually assaulted the victim on multiple occasions between November 2022 and this month. He was taken into custody Monday after the execution of a search warrant at his home.
Searcy is jailed in lieu of $260,000 bond on three counts of rape and felony child endangerment. The victim reported that he gave her cocaine, marijuana and alcohol in association with sex acts.
This investigation, being led by Youth Services Detective Matt Mrowiec, began just over a week ago after information about this matter was relayed to the police department.
