What Nashville Gets in Jack Drury

Drury, 26, is a two-way center who matched his career high with 27 points (10g-17a) across all 82 games for the Presidents’ Trophy-winning Avalanche in 2025-26. He posted a career-best 14:29 of average ice time and scored all 10 goals at even strength.

He ranked fifth among players with at least 900 faceoffs last season, winning 58.1 percent of his draws — one of the strongest rates in the league. He also earned a Selke Trophy vote, awarded annually to the NHL’s top defensive forward.

In 13 playoff games, Drury tied for fourth on Colorado in goals with three and added two assists as the Avalanche advanced to the Western Conference Final.

Drury’s NHL Background and Family Ties

Originally a second-round pick (42nd overall) by Carolina in the 2018 NHL Draft, Drury has 82 points (30g-52a) in 268 career games split between the Hurricanes and Avalanche. MacFarland acquired him from Carolina in the Mikko Rantanen/Martin Necas trade in January 2025.

Drury comes from a hockey family. His father, Ted Drury, played eight NHL seasons from 1993–2001. His uncle, Chris Drury, currently serves as president of hockey operations and general manager of the New York Rangers.

Away from the NHL, Drury won the AHL’s Calder Cup with Chicago in 2021-22, captured the Swedish Hockey League title with the Växjö Lakers in 2020-21, and earned a silver medal with the United States at the 2019 World Junior Championship.

Who Is Chase Bradley

Bradley, 24, spent his second full professional season with the AHL’s Colorado Eagles in 2025-26, recording 12 points (9g-3a) in 42 games. He added 10 points (5g-5a) in 17 Calder Cup Playoff appearances as Colorado reached the Western Conference Final.

A seventh-round pick (203rd overall) by Detroit in the 2020 NHL Draft, Bradley made his NHL debut with the Avalanche on Nov. 27, 2024, against Vegas. He played collegiate hockey at the University of Connecticut from 2021–24, where he was teammates with current Predators forward Matthew Wood from 2022–24.

Nashville’s 2029 Draft Capital

With the third-round pick acquired in this deal, the Predators now hold eight selections in the 2029 NHL Draft: picks in every round, with two selections in the third round.
