November 2, 2022 – Detectives are searching for Michael Scott Thornton, 36, wanted on six outstanding burglary and theft warrants following incidents at a law office and two public schools.
Thornton was first accused of burglarizing a law office on Nashboro Boulevard at the end of June, stealing cash and jewelry from the office. He returned wearing the same clothing on July 1 and attempted to gain entry through the same door, but was unsuccessful.
Thornton is also alleged to be responsible for rummaging through offices of Wright Middle School then Glencliff High School October 17. School staff did not report anything being stolen at Glencliff High, but Wright Middle said gift cards and a laptop were taken.
Thornton is suspected of several other burglaries at various locations over the last few months.
