Nashville Police Looking for Gunman Who Shot Woman on Gibson Drive

Violent Crimes Division detectives are working to identify the gunman involved in an apparent robbery Saturday night in which a 31-year-old woman was shot and critically wounded near her home on Gibson Drive. More Crime!

The victim reported that she was walking from her residence to her car around 10:15 p.m. when a man approached her. She got into her vehicle and he took out a gun and used it to physically strike her driver’s side window. She began to back the vehicle onto Gibson Drive in an attempt to get away when he fired several times, striking the passenger side of her vehicle. He fled on foot. The woman drove a short distance before pulling into a driveway seeking help around 10:15 p.m. She was transported to Skyline Medical Center where she is expected to recover. The gunman is described as a black man in his 20s.

Detectives are also investigating the following two Saturday night robberies which occurred in the same area and timeframe.

Dee’s Lounge, 102 E Palestine Avenue, at 10:30 p.m. The victim was parking his car in the lot when a gunman approached him and demanded his wallet. The suspect, described as a black man, fled on foot.

Falcon View Apartments, 201 E Palestine Avenue, at 10:40 p.m. The victim was with a friend in the parking lot when two men approached them, both armed with handguns, and demanded their belongings. He refused to comply. One of the suspects used his gun to beat the victim’s head, knocking out teeth. They took his friend’s cell phone and fled on foot. They are only described as black men.
