Homicide detectives are working active leads in the overnight fatal shootings of a 46-year-old man and a 37-year-old woman who were found dead at 7:30 this morning inside a van parked outside 2506 Highland Trace Drive. The victims are believed to have been homeless. Efforts are underway to locate their families, who may be in Pennsylvania.
The male victim was acquainted with the resident at 2506 Highland Trace Drive and had received permission to park outside the residence over the past few nights.
The victims are believed to have arrived in the driveway a few minutes before 10 p.m. Tuesday. Neighbors reported hearing shots around 10 p.m., but did not look outside.
