A pedestrian struck by a Jeep Patriot on Nolensville Pike near Vivelle Avenue just after 8:15 p.m. May 29 died June 6, 2022. Taylor Wayne Smith, 30, of Nashville, was reported by witnesses to be wandering in the middle of the roadway when he was struck and received life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the Jeep remained on scene. There were no signs of impairment on behalf of the driver. Speed was not a factor in the crash.
Smith was approximately 70 feet from the closest marked crosswalk.
