The body recovered Thursday afternoon, May 14, from the Cumberland River near Cement Plant Road has been identified as Juan D. Beard, 32, of Nashville.
It is believed that Beard went swimming near Riverfront Park on the previous Sunday evening and struggled to stay afloat. An autopsy showed no signs of trauma or foul play.
