A Nashville man is facing multiple drug counts after crystal meth, syringes and digital scales were found in the home from which he was being evicted.

Deputies from the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office were serving Benjamin R. Brown, 46, with an eviction notice at a Linbar Drive residence Monday when they came across a large bag containing a white crystal substance along with scales and needles. Deputies then contacted South Precinct officers. During the subsequent execution of a search warrant, detectives from the South Precinct’s Community Field Intelligence Team recovered a pistol, 86 grams of meth, one ounce of marijuana, three ounces of psychedelic mushrooms, 17 ecstasy pills, 50 Xanax pills, 14 oxy pills, numerous needles and other items related to the sale of narcotics.

Brown was taken to Williamson and Wilson counties to address outstanding warrants in those counties. He was returned to Nashville this afternoon and is being charged with nine felony drug counts and one count of gun possession during the commission of a drug offense.

A judicial commissioner set Brown’s bond at $74,500.
