A 40-year-old Nashville man has been arrested after police say an investigation revealed he was involved in a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old boy.
The MNPD’s Youth Services Division arrested Shaun Medley Thursday at his apartment on Brick Church Pike. Detectives began investigating after inappropriate photos of the teenager were uploaded to Medley’s Google account, which was shared with another man. That man reported the images to police.
Investigators spoke with the teen’s mother, who said the two met through a dating app and had been seeing each other for about six months. Police later found the teenager at Medley’s apartment.
Medley is charged with aggravated statutory rape and especially aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor. He is being held on a $60,000 bond.
