August 36, 2023 – Homicide detectives are pursuing active leads in this afternoon’s fatal shooting of a 17-year-old who was found in a field at McFerrin Community Center in East Nashville.
Paul Nicholas Reed of Richmond Hill Drive died shortly after being transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
The investigation to this point shows that Reed arrived at the community center in a car with other individuals. The car remained in the parking lot for a time before several persons, including Reed, got out. Reed ran briefly before collapsing. The car then fled the area.
