A routine patrol in Mt. Juliet led to the arrest of a Nashville man wanted on multiple serious charges, according to police.
The Mt. Juliet Police Department said the arrest happened after an officer noticed a vehicle displaying a license plate that did not match the vehicle it was assigned to. The tag, registered to a Kia K5, was being used on a GMC Yukon.
That observation prompted a traffic stop on Interstate 40, where the driver was identified as a 35-year-old Nashville man wanted by authorities since March 22, 2026.
Officials say the suspect was wanted in connection to charges including felony aggravated assault involving the strangulation of a pregnant victim, domestic assault with bodily injury, and interfering with a 911 emergency call.
The individual was taken into custody without incident. Police say the arrest marks a significant step toward justice for the victim and highlights the importance of proactive policing.
