Monroe Harding is excited to partner with Be Pro Be Proud for its first mobile virtual reality trades job fair scheduled for Thursday, February 29, from 10 AM – 1 PM at 1 Vantage Way, Nashville, TN 37228. This unique workforce development program will allow foster youth and young adults who have aged out of foster care the opportunity to explore the benefits of skilled trade jobs.

Monroe Harding’s Youth Resource Center, located in Downtown Nashville, aims to introduce programs that enhance the quality of life for vulnerable young adults who have aged out of foster care and unhoused youth in the Nashville Area. The Be Pro Be Proud program will allow young adults to experience VR Truck and Forester Simulators, Line Worker and Miller Welding positions, Robotic Arm demonstrations, and much more.

“We want our young people who frequent our Youth Resource Center to learn how they can make a living and improve their quality of life by exploring trade jobs that will continue to aid their sustainability. However, this would not be possible without the innovation of the Be Pro Be Proud organization,” said CEO Pamela Madison.

The focal point of the project – the Be Pro Mobile Workshop — is a custom-designed, 53-foot 18- wheeler featuring hands-on simulators for commercial driving, forklift and heavy equipment operation, and welding, plus VR experiences for construction trades and diesel tech.
