The Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority (MNAA) is proud to announce the appointment of Beth Kreppein as the new chief of police for the Department of Public Safety (DPS), where she will lead law enforcement operations at both Nashville International Airport® (BNA®) and John C. Tune Airport® (JWN®). As chief of police, Kreppein will oversee public safety, emergency response, security strategy and partnerships with local, state and federal agencies.

Kreppein brings more than two decades of federal law enforcement experience, most recently serving as a Supervisory Special Agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). Her career includes leadership roles in criminal investigations, crisis negotiations and interagency coordination. She has supervised teams in the Violent Crime Gang Task Force, the Joint Terrorism Task Force and the FBI’s Crisis Negotiation Unit, and has been recognized for managing high-risk, high-visibility incidents.

Before her federal service, Kreppein served as a deputy prosecuting attorney in Indiana and worked in private legal practice. She holds a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Valparaiso University School of Law and a Bachelor of Science from Northwestern University’s School of Education and Social Policy. She also serves as an adjunct professor at Belmont University, teaching in the legal studies program.
