Two men are dead following a domestic-related murder-suicide Saturday afternoon at a home on Graceland Drive in Nashville’s Madison area.
According to the Metro Nashville Police Department, the investigation found that 74-year-old Stephen Slater shot his 49-year-old stepson, John D. Norman, before turning the gun on himself.
Slater’s wife called 911 after the shooting. First responders found Slater dead at the home. Norman was taken to Skyline Medical Center, where he later died from his injuries.
The Metro Nashville Police Department’s Homicide Unit is investigating the incident.
