August 27, 2023 – A man died in Sunday’s 3:50 a.m. single-vehicle crash on Blue Hole Road near Tusculum Road.
The preliminary investigation shows that the driver of a Hyundai Accent was traveling northbound on Blue Hole Road at a high rate of speed when he lost control of the car and struck a fire hydrant and tree before overturning. The man, who was not wearing a seatbelt, died at the scene.
No identification for the man was located. The Medical Examiner’s Office will work to positively identify him. Toxicology testing will be conducted to determine whether impairment was a factor.
