Homicide Unit detectives are investigating Wednesday morning’s fatal shooting of Jeremy Smith, 23, on River Road Pike near Gower Road.
A passerby called police at 8 a.m. after seeing Smith’s body on the side of the road. Smith was transported to Vanderbilt Medical Center where he died.
A vehicle seen leaving the area was stopped later this morning in Cheatham County but after talking to the driver it was determined that they were not involved.
