April 15, 2022 – A man has died following a single-car crash at 6572 Nolensville Pike where the pickup truck struck a tree before becoming engulfed in flames. Phillip Michael Roe, 29, was traveling southbound in a 2007 Nissan Frontier when he overcorrected after entering the right shoulder of the roadway and struck a driveway culvert before a tree.
The truck had extensive damage due to the crash and subsequent fire. Roe died at the scene.
There were no signs of impairment at the scene.
