MNPD Officer Injured in Crash Near BNA

November 22, 2024 -A Metro Nashville Police officer is recovering at Vanderbilt Medical Center after his police motorcycle was struck from behind by an SUV Thursday.

The accident occurred at the intersection of Elm Hill Pike and McCrory Creek Road.

Traffic Officer Cory West, a veteran member of the traffic unit, was conducting routine patrols when the crash happened. The extent of Officer West’s injuries has not been disclosed.

Authorities say the driver of the SUV, a 63-year-old man, does not possess a valid driver’s license and is being charged via citation.

No further details have been released at this time.
