Homicide Unit detectives this evening charged Chidiebere Okafor, 22, with criminal homicide for the Christmas Eve fatal shooting of Devin Compton, 24, in the parking lot of Arbor Hills Apartments off Bell Road.
Compton was shot in the head at 5 p.m. on December 24 after arriving in the complex and walking up to an SUV.
Investigation by Detective Chris Cote led to the identification of Okafor as the suspect. Okafor is being held without bond pending a hearing.
