February 4, 2025 – David Claiborne, 33, was arrested Tuesday by TITANS Unit detectives after he fired into a woman’s home this afternoon on Crutcher Street, where she and a juvenile were inside, after threatening to kill her. She told officers she received a threatening text from Claiborne before he showed up at her home, yelled from outside and began firing at her door and windows.
Detectives located Claiborne at a Dabbs Avenue home where he attempted to flee from a traffic stop but was quickly taken into custody. A handgun was recovered from his path.
He confessed to the shooting during an interview with detectives.
Claiborne was charged tonight with two counts of aggravated assault. He is jailed on $100,000 bond.
