A motorcyclist has died following a crash with a tractor trailer on I-40 East near Briley Parkway on June 5, 2023.
The preliminary investigation indicates both vehicles were traveling east when, for reasons unknown, the motorcycle became entangled in the semi’s tires behind the cab.
The motorcyclist, Charles Tumbleston II, 61, of Lebanon, was thrown from the motorcycle. He died at the scene.
There were no signs of impairment on part of either driver.
The investigation continues to determine which vehicle infringed on the other’s lane of travel.
