One Krispy Kreme in Nashville has permanently closed its doors.

The Nashville Business Journal reported on February 24, 2023 that the midtown Krispy Kreme, located at 2103 Elliston Place, has permanently closed.

The North Carolina-based company has not made a statement on why the midtown location has closed. However, back in August 2022, the donut shop announced plans to close more than 100 stores.

The company also said it planned to close locations that operate outside its hub-and-spoke model, which is a location that makes doughnuts daily and ships them to other stores for sales.

Five Krispy Kreme locations still remain throughout the Middle Tennessee area.
