August 25, 2022 – A 16-year-old KIPP Nashville Collegiate High School student is charged with carrying a gun on school property after a loaded nine-millimeter pistol was found in his backpack this afternoon.
A tip led to a search of the student’s locker where the gun was located inside his backpack. The teen, who brought the gun from home, said he was carrying the pistol for protection.
