The City of Goodlettsville extends an invitation for all to kick off the holiday season with the upcoming festive Hometown Holidays events on the first weekend of December.

1Tree Lighting Ceremony, Candy Cane Village Reveal, and Santa’s Holiday Party

The Christmas Tree Lighting for the City of Goodlettsville will take place on Friday, December 1, 2023 starting at 6:00pm. Watch as Mayor Rusty Tinnin and his special guests flip the switch on the giant tree in front of City Hall and the tiny houses inside Candy Cane Village. Entertainment will be provided by the Men of Harmony Barbershop Chorus. This event takes place at 105 S. Main Street on the grounds of City Hall. Parking will be available at Goodlettsville City Hall and the Delmas Long Community Center. Following the lighting of the tree, guests are invited to explore the tiny houses as they make their way to Santa’s Holiday Party at the Delmas Long Community Center. Beginning at 6:30pm participants will have the opportunity to visit with Santa, enjoy hot chocolate and cookies, create a special holiday craft, and enjoy live entertainment.

2Goodlettsville Christmas Parade

The Annual Goodlettsville Christmas Parade will take place on Saturday, December 2, 2023 at 4:00pm. The parade will begin at the Delmas Long Community Center at 200 Memorial Drive and continue up Memorial Drive, taking a right onto Main Street and ending at the Goodlettsville Plaza on Rivergate Parkway. This year’s theme is “Country Christmas.”

3Yulefest

Goodlettsville’s Annual Yulefest event takes place on the grounds of Historic Mansker’s Station in Moss-Wright Park on Saturday, December 2, 5:00pm to 8:00pm. Step back in time and ring in the holiday season in 1780s style. Mansker’s Fort and the Bowen House will be open for a free and fun night of 18th Century festivities, and the Visitor’s Center will feature Olde World Santa in his workshop. Enjoy an evening full of musical entertainment, storytelling, carriage rides, refreshments, and unique shopping in the Gift Shop. Yulefest is truly an event for all ages, and with the exception of 2020, has been a Goodlettsville tradition since 1988.

These festivities are just the beginning of the holiday fun. Goodlettsville will be decked out in holiday splendor to warm your hearts and get you in the holiday spirit. Explore the houses in Candy Cane Village, sip on hot chocolate, stop by Historic Mansker’s Station for your holiday photo-op, and enjoy the special events planned this season in Goodlettsville!
